The concept of eating according to blood type is always in debate. While there are people who advocate it, there are also equal numbers of people who despise it as myth. Irrespective of the debates it is gaining momentum and getting recognized as a healthy diet habit. Here are the facts about blood type diet plans.
How actually it works?
According to this theory, each person responds differently to different foods, which are closely linked to the blood type of a person.
The Four types of Blood:
1. TYPE A BLOOD:
Around twenty thousand years ago, when agriculture was still developing, this type of blood had undergone a lifetime change. It means people having blood group A should focus on making vegetarian diet as a part of their diet regime – the people with type A blood group are also called-“the agrarians”.
This group has the recognition of being one amongst the oldest blood groups which dates back to over 30 000 years ago, and as such it needs a protein-rich nutrition, dissimilar to any other blood type. The people with O blood type are even called as- “the hunters”.
3. TYPE B BLOOD:
The people having this type of blood are called as “nomads” as they possess the feature of adapting quite well to dairy foodstuffs and also these people boast of the most adaptable digestive system in relation to other blood types.
4. TYPE AB BLOOD:
As it is the most recent addition to blood groups, their food differs between type B Blood group and type A. As this type of blood is dated only to thousand years old, they are known as-“the enigmas”.
RECOMMENDED DIETS FOR EACH TYPE OF BLOOD GROUP:
TYPE A BLOOD:
What to eat: Vegetables, whole grains in place of small foods (bread or pasta). In addition eat berries, apples, nectarines, avocados, and figs. Proteins that can be consumed are soy and nuts.
What not to eat: All kinds of meat is a strictly no along with dairy products and kidney beans.
TYPE 0 BLOOD:
What to eat: Red meat, Seafood, poultry (turkey/chicken) and different kinds of proteins are highly advocated. As far as vegetables are considered broccoli, kelp, spinach and kale are recommended.
What not to eat: Legumes (beans, lentils, peanuts,), egg products and dairy, in addition to wheat and grains.
TYPE B BLOOD:
What to eat: Green vegetables, certain grains, fruits, red meat, turkey, and fish.
What not to eat: All kinds of peanuts, seeds, lentils, chicken, and corn. And also avoid buckwheat.
TYPE AB BLOOD:
What to eat: Tofu, fish and seafood, and turkey in addition to beans, vegetables, figs, bananas. Legumes and watermelon are better option.
What not to eat: Red meat, corn, and buckwheat. Also be cautious while taking high quantities of caffeine and alcohol.
Organic foods can be equally good to all the blood groups.
