These foods can cause acne

Acne is the most complex issue as far as problems associated with face are concerned. The breakouts and triggers are manifold and also differ from person to person. Since the triggers and causes differ from person to person the treatments too are prone to differ. But one common cause can be sensitivity to food. There are certain kinds of foods that can trigger acne in many according to experts. The first thought anyone gets as soon as acne breakouts is to purchase some topical lotion. If it works it is ok, what if it does not work. Then as said above might be its time to check the diet you are taking as there is close interlink between acne and diet. Here is the list of foods that cause acne breakouts.

Dairy:

There is sad news for all those dairy product lovers: milk in fact isn’t that good for complexion says the recent studies on acne and diet. The research was conducted by the American Academy of Dermatology which guessed that breakouts and milk consumption are interlinked. The hormones present in dairy products leads to spikes in few pimple causing hormones. So the best way to get calcium and also keep off pimples is to take hemp milk, almond milk, coconut milk, and rice milk in place of cow milk.

Sugar:

Sugar for sure is a food that triggers acne breakouts as it is pro-inflammatory. Acne is known to be an inflammatory situation and anyone having skin that is prone to acne breakouts should strictly stick to diet that is anti-inflammatory in nature. Leaving sugar does not convey to leave the sweetness altogether as we also need sugar content for good health. So what to do now? Simple eat some fresh fruits and in case you wish to have a sweetened tea or other beverages prefer small quantities of mounts of maple syrup, stevia, or raw honey.

Soy:

If there is an acne breakout near the jaw line and mouth tofu and many other soy related foods should be blamed. And it is all because of the naturally found plant estrogens in soybeans. Phytoestrogens are similar to natural estrogen content that triggers the hormones for acne breakouts. Soy derivatives are found in many things right from energy bars to veggie burgers so read carefully the labels.

Coffee:

Cup of coffee might look the best option to begin the day, not only this; it is also a good option to breakout acne right from the beginning of the day. Coffee is made with coffee beans that have an organic acid in them which raises the levels of cortisol. Cortisol is even called as a stress hormone which might play the role of androgen, concurrently stimulating inflammation and the sebaceous glands.

Bread, coconut oil, and peanuts too are culprits as far as foods that cause acne are concerned. So be careful of what you eat and see to that your plate is not stuffed with these foods.
