These banana recipes are healthy and less time taking

You would have heard a lot about the health benefits of banana. Ok….since all of us know that banana stands first in giving energy and health we shall not discuss more on that thing and let us concentrate on how to make different tasty food items using a banana. Here are two easy banana recipes. They are hot, spicy and also tasty.

1) Banana kofta:

Ingredients needed:

  • 4 bananas
  •  ½ teaspoon of garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon of ginger paste
  • ½ teaspoon of spice mix powder
  • 3/4th spoon of chili powder
  • 3/4th spoon of turmeric powder
  • 3/4th spoon of gram flour powder
  • One egg
  • Required amount of oil for deep fry
  • Required amount of salt for taste
  • 3/4th spoon of sugar

Preparation method:

  • Boil the bananas without peeling off the skin.
  • Soon after boiling remove the peel and keep the bananas in a bowl.
  • Now take all the ingredients excluding oil and mix along with bananas well.
  • If you wish you can add little more gram flour powder.
  • Now take oil in a pan and heat.
  • Now use the banana paste to make round balls.
  • Fry these round balls in heated oil till they turn reddish brown.
  • Keep frying all the balls in such a way.
  • We also need gravy to soak the banana balls. Let us see how to make:
  • Add cumin seeds and onions in oil and fry them.
  • Add ginger, turmeric powder, garlic paste, sugar and chili powder in the oil.
  • Now add two cups of water and required amount of salt and boil well.
  • Finally add the banana kofta and keep them for 3 to 4r minutes.
  • Garnish with ghee and spice mix powder and it is ready to eat.

2) Banana flower curry: This is the simplest of all banana flower recipes you can try.

Ingredients needed:

  • 1 banana flower
  • 3 spoon of grated coconut powder
  • 3 spoons of mustard seeds.
  • 4 green chilies
  • ½ spoon of sugar
  • Required amount of salt for taste
  • Pinch of turmeric powder
  • 4 dry chilies (cut into pieces)
  • 2 teaspoons of oil

Preparation method:

  • Cut banana flower and place it in water for half an hour. Before placing in water. Add little turmeric powder and salt to the water.
  • Dispose of the water and boil the flowers in two cups of water for 5 minutes.
  • Now again dispose of the water and keep the flowers aside.
  • Add salt, mustard seeds powder and green chilies to water and make a thick paste.
  • Take a pan, add oil and once the oil is heated add banana flower pieces and fry.
  • Add spice mix powder, required amounts of salt and turmeric powder.
  • Add 1 cup of water and sugar and boil well.
  • After 2 minutes add coconut water and keep stirring.
  • Keep boiling till the water soaks up and finally garnish with cut chilies and keep the lid and it is ready to eat after 10 minutes.
