Canon has launched EOS Rebel T5i DSLR camera, the new flagship model under the company’s EOS Rebel line.
The EOS Rebel T5i has featured an 18-megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor and DIGIC 5 Image Processor.
The EOS Rebel T5i DSLR camera has an ISO range of 100-12800, which can be expanded to 25600 in H mode as well as has a continuous shooting speed of up to 5.0 frames per second (fps) along with 9 all cross-type AF focus points.
The camera also features a 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor II with touch controls and includes seven creative filters:
- Water Painting
- Grainy Black and White
- Soft Focus
- Toy Camera
Canon U.S.A. Imaging Technologies & Communications Group executive vice president and general manager Yuichi Ishizuka said the camera is made to make advanced photography creative and fun.
He also added the EOS Rebel T5i Digital SLR Camera provides users extraordinary image quality and fast, intuitive operation along with creative functions to help advance photographic expression.
The EOS Rebel T5i provides the ability to shoot in 1080p full-HD video in a numerous recording sizes and frame rates.
The camera with Canon’s Hybrid CMOS AF System and Movie Servo AF gives unending AF for focus tracking of moving subjects by assisting to lower the camera’s need to “hunt”, leading to a quick and smooth continuous AF.
The EOS Rebel T5i camera also has a built-in stereo microphone with manual audio level adjustment to increase quality of sound.
The company is also expanding the lineup of STM lenses by bringing in one new lens, which now leaves the users with three choices that include EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM, the EF 40mm f/2.8 STM and the new EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5- 5.6 IS STM lens.
The Canon EOS Rebel T5i is available packed with Canon’s new EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM as the standard kit.
The EOS Rebel T5i Digital SLR camera is ear marked to be available in April 2013.
The company has fixed separate rates for the body alone.
The cost of the camera bundled with an EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens kit, will also differ from the one with the EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens kit.
The new EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens also is also positioned to be available in the market in April 2013.
