1) Guava cheese:

In this recipe, we need to first make guava pulp. Let us see how to make:

Ingredients needed to make guava pulp:

  • Kilo guavas
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice or citric acid

Take one kilo guavas and cut the guavas into small pieces. Add them to water and lemon juice and boil well. The pulp is ready. Now let us see the ingredients needed in addition to the above:

  • 1 cup of strained guava pulp (you get this by straining the pulp made from the above process)
  • 1 spoon of cheese
  • 1.5 cups of sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Few drops of lemon juice

Preparation method:

  • Boil cheese, guava pulp and sugar in a pan till they turn into a thick paste.
  • Then add salt and lemon juice
  • Take a tray and apply cheese to the surface of it. Spread the paste evenly.
  • Allow it to dry and cut into equal pieces.

2) Guava jelly:

Ingredients needed:

  • 700 grams of sugar
  • 1 kilo guavas
  • 1 liter water
  • 2 tablespoons of lemon juice or citric acid

Preparation method:

  • Cut the guavas into small slices, add water and boil them.
  • Strain the slices.
  • Make the strained slices into thick juice kind.
  • Measure the strained juice and add sugar equal to 3/4th part of it.
  • Take them in a pan and boil till the sugar melts.
  • Once the sugar melts guava jelly is ready for you. It can be used along with breads and other things. It is as good and tasty as jam.

3) Guava chips:

Ingredients needed:

  • 2 ripe guavas
  • 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon of rice powder
  • 1/4th spoon of asafetida
  • Required amount of oil and salt
  • 1 tablespoon of chili powder

Preparation method:

  • Slice the guavas as you slice potatoes to make chips.
  • Add asafetida, ginger, salt and chili powder to the slices and place them aside for 10 minutes.
  • Mix rice powder, corn flour and wheat flour well by using the water that you got through cutting the guavas.
  • Add this mix to the slices and see to that the slices absorb this mix.
  • Now take a big pan, add oil and allow the oil to heat up.
  • Once the oil gets heated up, fry the chips in it till they turn red.
